Amie Rodnick received her B.A. with honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1975 and her J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1978. UT – Austin is considered one of the nation’s top 15 research universities, and the law school is one of the most selective. She passed the bar exam the first time in 1979 and worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the administration of Mark White. She has been in private practice since 1984 and has exclusively practiced family law for most of that time. Amie has served as chair of the family law section of the Austin Bar Association, panel chair on the State Bar of Texas grievance committee, and has taught numerous seminars on collaborative divorce, mediation, and issues of interest to all family lawyers. She is current president of Collaborative Divorce Austin and has served as past president of Central Texas Collaborative Family Lawyers. She is a charter member of Collaborative Divorce Texas. Amie has been happily married for 47 years to her husband Larry and has two adult sons. Her interests include travel, photography, sailing and downhill skiing.
